(2) What is role of Cyber Security in today’s world, one of the professors asked if the data on my phone is private to me anymore? (3) What have you learnt from your experience? Follow up question was, (5) How would PGDBA/ Business Analytics help in a consultancy firm? (I said yes and mentioned some names) Graduation Subjects: (8) One weird question came up from a professor, when he asked me why I had taken a elective on Hazardous Waste Management, and there were few basic questions that followed on the subject. [I was not expecting a question on an elective that was totally unrelated to my graduation stream, but interviews are unpredictable] (9) Another prof asked me if I know about need of consultants in Electrical Grid Management? (To this I answered No). So, she asked me to give it a thought as it was related to my profile. (10) She also asked what are the challenges that can occur while managing a grid in recent times (I had no clue), so she gave me a hint about Renewable Energy sources being used and what possible challenges can they pose while managing the grid? (11) What is Smart Metering? |

(4) It would be better if you go with a genuine question prepared that you want to ask the interviewer at the last, instead of making a random question there. | Tips for Interview | Interview is a lot about what panel you get and also your luck. Prioritize maximizing the written exam score so that you have a cushion and can afford to mess up a bit in the interview and still make it. You need to have your +2 level math concepts rock-solid to ace the written exam, and as for VARC and DILR, some CAT type mocks might help since not a lot of content specifically geared towards PGDBA is available yet. DILR is generally very scoring so you should try to get all correct. For interview, be absolutely confident with whatever work you do, and if you’re a fresher, be confident in your undergrad or postgrad course subjects. Try having an idea about how you could incorporate analytics into your work field and why you wanna switch to analytics (if you are switching), and have a concrete understanding of the basics of linear algebra, probability and statistics. And of course, don’t forget the general affairs! |

| Tips for Interview | (1) For written exam, mocks would be most important. Analyze them honestly to find your weaknesses and work on them. For me, with sufficient time available for all questions, only focus was getting the revision in maths in topics I felt I was weak in. (2) For interview get an idea about what you’ll speak on in the generic questions. (3) For all others go through the PGDBA aspirants repository of any one year. You’ll have enough questions on most of the topics that are asked in the interview. Honestly, go through most of these and you’ll be well prepared. (4) Some interviewers do ask what topics you’re comfortable in since you are not expected to know everything so you can choose by preparing a subject or following some specific types of world affairs. |

(6) Even if you do not score well in the written test, you still have a chance. You can coverup in the interviews. (I had 87 marks in the online test and the cutoff for general category was 87. I still managed to get into the program by doing well in the interviews. Please note, I also had a decent amount of work experience to bridge the gap.) |
