- Figure out why u want to come to analytics and this course. Prepare calculus, matrices and probability basics. Be confident!!

- I was asked about the nature of my work.
- What level of exposure to analytics I had in the different projects.

I was asked two questions on mathematics. One on Linear Algebra and the other on calculus.
- They asked me to define co-factor and rank of a matrix. I was given a system of equations and had to find number of solutions using rank of the matrix.
- From calculus, I was asked to write the Leibniz integral rule (Interviewer didn’t mention the name, they said write the derivative of a definite integral).

- I played squash in my college, so they asked me whether I still play squash or have I discontinued it.

- Given that the Uttar Pradesh elections had recently concluded, they asked me about the possible reasons why Samajwadi Party lost.

- They are judging your willingness and enthusiasm for this program. They look for your thought process instead of the right answer. If you are stuck in a problem, they will mostly guide you so that you can proceed.

- You have 2 sets x & y. Both has values from 1 to 100. A pair is chosen with one value from x and one from y. What is the probability that both values are even?
Analytics:
- What is Linear Regression? (Based on what i answered in question 1)
- Directing towards a whiteboard, (which had some points plotted with line passing though points) What is this line called as? (Related to Linear Regression, it was the Least Square fitted line)
- What are the methods to get the regression line? (MLE, ordinary LSE)

- Be calm and take your time to respond to the questions. The interviewers are cool and give you time to think and even help in case you are stuck.
- Don’t give up if you don’t know the ans. They don’t expect you to know everything. Just tell them your approach even if you think the ans may be wrong.

- Almost half of my interview was about my work experience. They started by asking the basic questions about the company and my profile followed by the tools learned. Then there were questions on database management and ETL (ex: types of schema, basic definition of ETL, data cubes, dimensions, facts, differences between ROLAP and MOLAP etc). They also asked little bit about the type of projects I worked on.

- The interviewers were very friendly and helpful. Be frank about your opinions and don’t try to manipulate things. You should be thorough with everything that you have mentioned on your interview form.

- There were basis statistics questions but interviewer asked me to solve on board. Attend with strong basic maths.

- Be prepared in the basic maths and statistics. Tune the CV very well questions will be asked from the CV and from filled up in the interview process. Prepare well what all done in the job.
